MADEIRA BEACH, FL - The College of Central Florida (CF) softball team experienced a challenging second weekend of the 2026 season at the JUCO Kickoff Classic.
Patriots Open Kickoff Classic with Convincing Win over Air Force
The classic began on a high note on January 30 with an 8-4 victory over the Air Force Academy. The Patriots' offense was efficient, tallying eight runs on nine hits.

Offensive Leaders: Payton Livingston and Tiara Chavis each contributed hits and runs to the winning effort, while Sam Albert and Hope Jordan also crossed the plate.

On the Mound: Olivia Douglas earned the start, providing five strong innings and allowing only two unearned runs while striking out three. Tiara Chavis closed the game, adding two strikeouts over the final two frames.
Pensacola State Powers Past CF
Later that same day, the Patriots faced a tough Pensacola State squad, falling 9-3. Despite the loss, the game featured a standout relief performance from the pitching staff.

Georgia Military College 12, CF 4 In the first game of the day, Georgia Military College used a seven-run first inning to take an early lead the Patriots could not overcome, resulting in a 12-4 loss.
