FSCJ stuns CF in overtime

Ocala, Fla.-- The College of Central Florida men's basketball team came back to the pack in the Mid-Florida Conference after being upset 72-67 in overtime by FSC-Jacksonville.

The loss snapped a 21-game homecourt winning streak for the Patriots (19-5, 2-1) against conference opponents dating back to January 30, 2010 when they fell to Daytona State.
CF made just 17-of-30 free throws, while the Blue Wave (11-9, 1-2) made 19-of-23 at the charity stripe and 9-of-19 from beyond the arc.

Rodell Wigginton tied the game at 60 with 27.5 seconds left in regulation and after a pair of misses by FSC-J, the Patriots had a chance to win the game.

Rasham Suarez, though, misfired on a 3-pointer at the buzzer and the game went to overtime.

From there, Osborn Blount scored 10 of his 22 points in the extra session and FSC-J snapped a five-game losing streak to the Patriots.

Javonte Douglas (25 points, 13 rebounds), Suarez (12 points, five rebounds) and Wigginton (11 points, nine rebounds) paced CF in the loss.
