After delivering a masterful performance on the mound, College of Central Florida pitcher Kaiden Lopez has earned top honors at both the state and national levels, being named the FCSAA State Pitcher of the Week as well as the NJCAA Division I National Pitcher of the Week.

Lopez secured the dual recognition following a dominant start that anchored the Patriots in a big 5-0 shutout victory over Eastern Florida State.

The standout arm was virtually untouchable, tossing 6.2 scoreless innings to earn the win and finish the week 1-0 with a flawless 0.00 ERA. Lopez showed exceptional command and poise under pressure, scattering just six hits across his outing while striking out seven batters to keep the Eastern Florida State offense entirely off balance.

By silencing the opposition and eating up critical innings, Lopez set the tone for the Patriots' defense and provided the team with the exact spark needed to secure the conference win.

Earning both the FCSAA and NJCAA D1 weekly awards highlights Lopez’s status as one of the premier arms in the country right now and adds another major milestone to the College of Central Florida's stellar 2025-2026 campaign.
