Jung Pitches Pats to Victory

Patriots' pitcher, Jay Jung, entered the game against FCSAA #1 Indian River State College in the second inning with CF down 5-3. Jung would dominate the Pioneers by throwing 8 shutout innings and the Pats would rally to secure a 9-5 win. Jung (4-2) allowed only two hits while striking out four. The win clinched a berth for CF in next weekend's regional playoffs.

CF would tie the game at 5-5 in the third inning on Miles Curley's fourth home run of the season. A towering two run shot to deep left field. A Cooper Jones HR leading off the fourth inning gave CF the lead at 6-5. Jones would also collect two more RBI with a fifth inning single. Marcus Bradshaw knocked in the Pats ninth and final run with an RBI single.

The FCSAA fifth ranked Patriots improve to 34-14 overall and 19-12 in the Citrus Conference. The Pioneers fall to 32-14 and 21-9 in conference. The same two teams will conclude the regular season with a doubleheader in Ocala on Saturday, first game starts at Noon.
