Ocala, FL-- The College of Central Florida baseball team saw St. Petersburg College score three times in the eighth inning to snap a 5-all tie and went on to an 8-5 loss at home on Wednesday.

Ryan Smith (1 for 5, three RBI), Ryan Crile (2 for 5), David Lugo (1 for 3, run scored), and A.J. Elkins (2 for 4, run scored) led the Patriots, who tied the game with a four-run effort in the bottom of the seventh inning, only to see the Titans (22-10) rebound.

Smith's three-run triple in the seventh was the big hit for CF.

The Patriots (20-13, 5-4) return to Mid-Florida Conference play on Friday afternoon at 3 when they host Lake Sumter State (14-14, 1-10).
