OCALA-- For the third time this season and second consecutive week, College of Central Florida's volleyball player Nathaly Alvarez has been named FCSAA Setter of the Week.
Alvarez continued her stellar play in her freshman season for the Patriots and sparked the state's No. 3 team to a 4-1 record this past week.
During the five matches, she averaged 10.1 assists per set and had a pair of matches where she totaled over 40 kills.
Alvarez also finished with a .313 hitting percentage and had 10 kills in close loss to defending state champion Polk State.
Against Polk, she totaled 49 assists and 10 digs.
Currently, Alvarez leads Region 8 and is fourth nationally in total assists with 819 assists. She is fifth nationally with 11.2 assists per match.
