Ocala, Fla.,-- Brittney Brown has continued the tradition of standout players for the College of Central Florida volleyball team.
On Thursday, Brown received her biggest honor to date.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore from Fresno (Calif.) Edison High School was named second-team NJCAA All-American.
Brown, who earned the Mid-Florida Conference Player of the Year award, finished her sophomore season with 499 kills.
For her career, Brown totaled 679 kills and became a huge presence in the middle for CF during her freshman year and carried into thos past season.
Along the way, Brown also earned all-state, all-tournament and all-conference honors.
Her all-american honor marks the third time in as many seasons that CF has placed a player on the all-american teams.
The previous two seasons saw Vanessa Benke earn her way to all-american mention.
