OCALA-- The College of Central Florida women's basketball team fell to Florida State College at Jacksonville 79-74 in overtime on Wednesday night at Patriot Gym.

The Lady Patriots got out to an early lead in the conference opener and led 16-11 after the first quarter, but a 25-point second quarter by FSCJ gave the Blue Wave a 36-30 lead at the half.

CF found itself down by as many as 10 points in the second half, but came marching back in the fourth quarter.

CF and FSCJ were all notched up at 62-62 in the final seconds when Patriot freshman guard Madi Toft drained what seemed to be the winning three-pointer. Moments later, the head official overturned Toft's three-pointer after a debate over shot clock violation.

To overtime we went at Patriot Gym, but CF was unable to hold on as FSCJ out-scored the Patriots 17-12 to secure the win.

Freshman guard Deja Jackson scored a season-high 13 points, while Australian sophomore guard Tiahna Sears also put up 13 and grabbed nine rebounds.

CF will return to conference play on Saturday when it travels to Daytona State College for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
